    Burnley v Spurs Match Preview

Here is a Monday night fixture to savour. Will Kane Son and Bale all start for Spurs? Probably not but they could all play a part in the proceedings. For Burnley we could be running out of right backs. Bardsley is ruled out with Covid and Pieters with injury. Many of us had pre-season identified the right back position as an area where we needed to strengthen but we didn’t and we are now paying the price. Lowton may well return but who wouldn’t be having nightmares about facing that Spurs front three? Spurs can be a lethal goal machine. A 6-1 romp at Old Trafford and galloping into a 3-0 lead against West Ham. The only downside was the spectacular collapse in the final ten minutes against the Hammers that cost them two points. I can’t see this being a 0-0. A draw would not be a bad result and would give us some momentum going into the Chelsea game. The sooner we can get Ben Mee back in tandem with Tarkowski the better. COYC!

Anything less than a two goal defeat would be a result for me outwood.

I'm out Monday night, I'll have to record the game and watch it later. Until then, for my own peace of mind, I'm trying not to think about the outcome.

Which Spurs will turn up ? That is the question. The one that puts in a poor performance , or, a Bale inspired team that will show why they can be a top side on their day ? That’s the intriguing part for me.

Spurs have played two PL away games so far this season and have scored 11 goals and conceded 3 -----a hard task to get anything out of this one as far as I am concerned but you never know.

I'm not convinced it matters, they could send half their youth team and they'd probably still be too good for us imo.

Realistically it seems that we are playing this season just to stay out of the bottom three. That being the case I just want to see us put in an encouraging display against a team whose front three are frightening.Hopefully it will be a cold wet and windy night and they don't fancy it.
