Where are the goals coming from ?

Barnes looks out of his depth.Wood still does not understand the offside rule and Jayrod and Vydra get 10 and 5 mins respectively. You just knew when we were spurning the half chances that Spurs would take their solitary chance.

Got to disagree with you Alf, we played poorly, Spurs played badly but beat us.

Regardless of Kane fouling Westwood to gain the corner which led to the goal we deserved a draw but not much else, we badly needed recruits in the last window (let alone the last half dozen windows) non came to strenghten the team so we are up against it again, sheer grit and determination will not help us this time

More like it from the lads tonight.

I think we deserved to win.

We need points now, only Chelsea next!

I am afraid the lack of investment is going to come home to bite us in the backside this season.

Yes, alf, we were unlucky and I am still trying to work out why Brownhill was booked after 1 minute, why Long was booked after Son kicked his foot and then rolled around on the floor and also why Lamela was not dealt with for a nasty challenge on McNeill which did not even merit a free kick although Lamela went in with his studs showing and over the ball.

In my day, I have no problem with that but in the modern game this is not acceptable. Once again Spurs got the rub of the green ---as normal. THe handball given agaimst Wood when he was chasing Dier down was another example -- Harry Kane would have got away with that!

    .

Spurs off the boil....was a perfect opportunity to take something from the game - but if you ball watch and leave a player like Son unmarked....then you gonna get stung.

I thought we played better tonight than in the last two games, but there again that would not have been hard.
Their goal came as we were caught out defensively for possibly the one and only time tonight.
Other than ball possession we matched Spurs in the other aspects of the game and with our style of play we very rarely compete on ball possession.
The thing I am not sure of is the combination of Barnes and Wood, which does not appear to be working, I would like to see Vydra or R-Rod starting a game to see if they can improve our poor scoring rate, but this is unlikely to happen.

To me I think it came to lack of quality, work rate was very good, grit and determination was very good. We defended well, all be it last ditch but we did well.
I agree with the lack of investment, aging squad, no new faces, no competition for places, players will be effected and probably as annoyed as fans about the lack of investment and commitment from the board.
as Dyche says "its a percentage game" all these little things add up, had we 3/4 new faces, happy morale maybe a step up in quality on the ball we may have got 6 points in these last 2 games, instead we have 1.
