So, if Bilic goes who do we replace him with? Is letting Hegazi go an attempt to raise funds for Sam Allardyce? Or are we more likely to go for Paul Cooke whose sterling efforts at Wigan were ultimately thwarted? Still available I believe. Or do we go down the ex player route and plump for Michael Appleton who's making a decent fist of things at Lincoln? Any other runners and riders from anyone with a bit of ITK?

The previous recent incumbents were employed as “Head Coach” not Manager. i e the Club provided the players, and the Head Coach got on with getting the best from them.
I wonder whether Bilic’s job description is any different ?

Interesting. Currently at the Vile as assistant boss. I still shudder at the memories of Saunders and more recently Little taking over here following their respective times in Witton all be it via other clubs. Still trying to block them out too.

We wouldn’t pay Allardice’s package in a million years. Our ambition stretches to Appleton and yeah right he’s working wonders just like our Darren at Doncaster who has not made them anything special. Simon Weaver at Harrogate has got a better record - dynamic and taken the club from a poor noon league club to around the top of league 2. Simon probably wouldn’t want to come to West Brom though as he’s excited about the prospect of another promotion and surrounded by people who love the club.
