    The Karlan Grant Strike.

Told me pretty much all I needed to know.

The lad isn’t afraid of scoring is he......more to the point he’s not afraid of missing.

That instantaneous, glorious first touch from a deflected cross was sublime in setting himself up but the finish was “Regisesque” in its violence.

Too many times over many years we’ve watched our various, ponderous centre forwards, dally and f a r t about in such moments.

I remember a Bob Taylor goal against Stoke of similar brutality and a Brunt goal at home against The Dingles but they’ve been few and far between in recent years.

I can’t see him hanging around if we go down.

Mr Lai must already be doing the mathematical calculation in his head as to how much he’s going to make on this sale next Summer!

Only just seen the highlights. Very, very nice finish. Superb strength and balance. We'll need to get the ball into him more, and get more players around him on a regular basis, than seemed the case via radio commentary. Liking the look of Grant already. Link to the highlights attached below for anyone who hasn't seen them.

That's what I call a ruthless striker - one chance and bang! Well done Grant!

Only 23 as well so not reached his prime yet.
What i like is the fact he wanted to come and waited patiently while our board did their usual silly buggers act.
Only the second game he has played anywhere this season so still not fully match fit, which is why he was subbed.
How many points have our board cost us by messing about as usual?

Yes the lad looks deadly. That header last week although ruled offside was quite something to beat Pope. So far so good.

I will stick my neck out here and tip him to be the next Albion cult hero.
    Just a gut feeling.

Hard to become a cult hero in 11 weeks Des.

Transfer window opens in January remember.

Mr Lai has a football advent calendar that runs from one transfer window to the next.......each window contains a miniature chocolate figure of whichever manager is stupid enough to take our job.

I didn't see the Burnley game but I think I'm correct in saying in 2 matches he's had 2 chances and found the net twice.
