    Emotional.

I found this by accident and really enjoyed it.

A present day reaction by a guy to two 70’s songs by Karen Carpenter.

I don’t know what it is about Karen’s voice, maybe it’s the quality and the innate sadness in her delivery but she’s the only singer who can reduce me to tears.

Every time I listen to “Superstar” I find myself choking them back.

Terrible to think she died at just 33 weighing about 4 stone.

Well worth ten minutes of your time if you like a bit of class.....

Karen Carpenter was a fab singer and what a voice! Such a shame about her illness! I always think in life that people who look slightly overweight look far more healthy than a person who looks like stick and bones! Girls who look like twigs are such a turn off so going back to Karen - so sad with a pretty face she ended up with this illness!

I queued up in the rain on a Sunday morning back in the seventies to get tickets to see them at the Odeon in Birmingham. Worth every minute of getting soaked to the skin

The Carpenters weren’t really my genre of music but they certainly were talented and it was a tragedy that Karen died so young.

Another great singer/songwriter now suffering is Joni Mitchell, struggling to walk after having a brain aneurysm a while back.
