Must admit it amuses me when a manager or ex manager gets the blame for players sold under Ashley ownership. Once a bid comes in its game over and he takes the money. The day a manager here has full control Ashley wont be owner.
Look at Joelinton, Ashley signing and Ashley insists he plays. All the squad here is always up for sale.

I just think the stench around the club through Ashley has players not putting it all in to get away. True professionals like Fernández, Dubravka, Clark to name a few are different make up.
Players like Mbemba for example and others before in my opinion realise very quickly its not what they sign up for and can't wait to get out. They go on to better things elsewhere. You see the real, happy player(s).
Bit like Rafa as manager, came in and very quickly realised what the fat slug is like. Honourable man that he is saw his contract out but how he never layed one on Penfold or Ashley I dont know.
