    The Hazards of Hand Sanitiser.

    .

Hand Sanitiser - plastic bottles of microbe defeating sludge.... believers everywhere are splashing it all over like it's some magical knockout punch...but is it all positive ? ...as what lies beneath that mucilaginous slime, hidden from sight as it awaits another unsuspecting prospect to covertly absorb into it's world of potential menace.

here are a few of the dangers.

    Toxic Chemicals.
    Muscle weakness/impaired mitochondrial function
    Hormone Disruption
    Allergies and altered brain function.
    Antibiotic Resistance?Superbugs
    Chronic Irritation
    Abdominal Pain
    Pesticides
    Cancer
    Coughing
    Infertility

    ...the list goes on.

So next time, before you go squirting it around willy-nilly....think about what might be in that bottle, and how maybe, it's best to find your own, or better still - make your own.

Why You Shouldn't Use Hand Sanitizers

A study published in Plos One (peer-reviewed open access scientific journal) showed that because hand sanitizers increase the permeability of the skin, using them and then handling thermal paper (the kind commonly put out by credit card terminals, cash registers, taxi drivers) causes the body to absorb bisphenol A, a hormone-disrupting chemical that's incredibly common. This is all the more pertinent if you sanitize, handle thermal paper and then eat with your hands.

The paper dwelled on the BPA, which has been found in 95% of American adults' urine. Hand sanitizers aren't that ubiquitous yet, but unthinking use of them.....

We can’t get sick people treated in this country BT in case the NHS is overrun , if we start creating more sick people from sanitizers god knows where we’ll be , is there an alternative?

It looks to me at the minute anyway people aren’t using it as they should with the so called amount of cases of Covid being announced.

You just watch in years to come how much ill health is cause by the mass prolonged use of masks? I do not know what the facts are but I bet there will be a cost involved for this as well

Oh well, something else not to worry about.
I've been dying for almost 74 years so, according to the good book, I am well into borrowed time and all without worrying about very much at all so I am not going to start now. Things happen so just deal with it rather than worry that something may or may not happen!
Waken up in the morning and be happy and the day that you don't waken up in the morning ----it won't be your problem!

Depending on the active ingredient used, hand sanitizers can be classified as one of two types: alcohol-based or alcohol-free.
1 Alcohol-based products typically contain between 60 and 95 percent alcohol, usually in the form of ethanol, isopropanol, or n-propanol.
At those concentrations, alcohol immediately denatures proteins, effectively neutralizing certain types of microorganisms.

2 Alcohol-free products are generally based on disinfectants, such as benzalkonium chloride (BAC), or on antimicrobial agents, such as triclosan. The activity of disinfectants and antimicrobial agents is both immediate and persistent.

Many hand sanitizers also contain emollients (e.g., glycerin) that soothe the skin, thickening agents, and fragrance.

No problems with alcohol based ones which are WHO recommended - Unless you are TT Or drink it.

Triclosan can cause endocrine problems but you need to use it a lot.

What are you expecting - Zorro and the Lone Ranger had no problems
Lots of surgeons and theatre staff wear them routinely, so fear not DD.

Come on OC --Zorro and the Lone Ranger had no problem because they weren't worn over their mouth and nose ---your argument does not stand up
Mind you, I don't think that Deadlydave's argument stands up either

I think it is now pretty clear masks are pointless, unless you are hell bent on robbing your local Post Office!

Unless you have not noticed masks are causing an outbreak of staphylococcus infection or staph infection, which is an infection caused by members of the Staphylococcus genus of bacteria.

These bacteria commonly inhabit the skin and nose where they are innocuous, but may enter the body through cuts or abrasions which may be nearly invisible. Phuck the masks!
