"The Ottoman Empire ruled over Jerusalem from 1516 to 1917."

Aye, Lawrence of Arabia booted the feckers out, I've seen the film.

I've just read that Joe Biden got 15 million more votes than Obama did in 2012. That's astonishing, I never realised he was that popular, if you didn't know better you could almost imagine there'd been a bit of vote-rigging involved couldn't you.

The good folks of the US just got fed up with Trump's tantrums and fake news sinkov.

I hope Biden can restore respect into US politics, but I won't hold my breath.

The new Administration, depressingly, seems firmly wedded to the old paradigm. Not all of Biden's appointments do not appear to be overt enemies of the Jewish state, Biden seems likely to restore the traditional deference (and funding) to the Palestinians, as well as to try to reopen negotiations about the JCPOA ( Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action ) with Iran, which at the very least implies that sanctions on Iran will be reduced, emboldening the regime to push ahead on the ground and with its nuclear and missile programs.
Netanyahu, bin Zayed, Trump, and Kushner should get the Nobel. Instead we will all get four or eight years of small minds and their cynical politics.

    Good try sinkov.

Trump got 6.5m more votes than when he won.

It is important to note that overall vote totals are more reflective of an ever-increasing US voter-age population than anything else.

No, no, no you misunderstand OC. Like I said, "if you didn't know better you could almost imagine there'd been a bit of vote-rigging involved couldn't you." But we do know better don't we, there was no fraud, no vote-rigging, the election was 100% fair, the rules were adhered to scrupulously, Mr Trump can have no complaint whatsoever. I was just commenting, in passing, on the incredible popularity of Mr Biden, took me by surprise that did. I would think BT is probably close to the mark, when he says it was the overwhelming desire of the American people to be shut of the Donald, that led to the incredible increase in the vote for Mr Biden.

Sorry for misunderstanding, Donald’s increase was perhaps even more incredible, maybe these folk in rural areas don’t see much TV.

"Will the Biden presidency mean more wars?

Joe Biden's supporters say he will restore America's standing in the world, but with his foreign policy team looking like an Obama-era reunion, will the country simply become more interventionist? Freddy Gray speaks to Kelley Beaucar Vlahos, senior adviser at the Quincy Institute, about whether a Biden presidency will mean more wars."

WTF I thought it was Trump who was the warmonger. Have our American chums bought a pup ?

Trump continues to prove he was totally unfit to be President of the US, I fear Biden will prove to be no better.
