    Personally I think this is a great appointment for the stags ,
    its one manger we should have been chasing.
    if ever there was a manager to back in terms of building a squad and developing youth it non league Nigel (as the florists call him)
    Everything NA is not I believe

    I think it’s a good appointment for Mansfield as well. He’s proven and did very well at Burton and steadied the ship at Derby.

    I think Mansfield have more chance of staying in the league than they did before his appointment. It will be interesting to see what happens between now and January for them and what players they bring in.

    We all know the problems with Notts over the years is not sacking managers but not replacing them with ones that are no better or worse. On the face of it, it appears the Radfords may have learned from Notts mistakes and given Mansfield the best chance of staying in the league. Let’s see how well this post ages.
