    Rams v Barnsley.

Remember when we couldn’t buy a win about 45 years ago and then we suddenly beat Spurs 8-2?
Well...that’s not going to happen...but, with Cocu and Morris both having to self isolate and given the misfortune they both seem to have been dogged by, I think tomorrow - just to rub salt into the wounds - we’ll see our biggest win at PP since Blackburn early last March.
Not sure who’ll be in charge and certainly hope Buchanan is back. I’ll go..against the odds...a 4-1 first home win.

Be really interesting to see if we play like world beaters , with Cocu not there
myself I would like to see Rosenior in charge for everything even picking the team
Hope they don't do a Moyes , sit at home relaying instructions on the phone

I remember the Spurs game, but don't remember it being part of a dire streak like we've been on for the last 15 or so games. Guess I'll be optimistic and go 0-0

No, not as dire as now you’re right, but I think it was our first home league win, maybe first league win of any sort, and it was at about the same stage of the season if memory serves. Tbh, I don’t think I’d even started work back then and was just an occasional spectator at the BBG so your recollection is probably more accurate.

only if by that statement, Andy, you are a Stoke, Sunderland or Spurs fan? Derby finished an uncomfortable 15th 3 points clear of the drop

I remember it well, 3-2 up at half time and if I remember it correctly, we scored 5 goals in a 15 minute spell early in the second half.

I remember fearing for my life on the journey home to Brum, sharing a train with a number of not very happy Spurs fans, I can still remember hearing them chop up the train with a fire axe, whilst I was hiding in a compartment full of old people.

You were right RA, it was our first win of that season, just a few months after just missing out on the double. Shortly after Mackay asked for a vote of confidence off the board, but didn't get it. I wonder how our history may have changed, had they backed him?

Game 10 of the season. 5 draws and 4 defeats in the opening 9 legale games. The previous game had been a 5-1 drubbing at St Andrews.

Spurs went 0-2 up and it looked bleak....... then 4 from Rioch, 2 from George, 1 from Rod Thomas and the 8th from Toddy. 8-2.

Not a vintage season though and things didn't get better for quite a while..... 7 years later we were playing in Division 3....

Before I heard that Cocu was away from the team I'd have gone for a 5-1 defeat. Now I'm thinking maybe a 1-1 draw.
