Good move on recent form but given his longer record it's hard to suspect that that won't be his feet up now till next Christmas.

It's a betwixt n between this one IMO. I'm hoping our 'last chance saloon' offer to him a few months back is about to be repaid. I was very sceptical when we signed him. That said, he looks fit, strong, eager and dare I say it 'committed'. Time will no doubt tell, but I hear he's even cut down on the PS4 gaming. Fingers x'd

Yes happy with this news. Hopefully he continues to screw the nut and produce on the park. He's done well for us so far this season.

I was cautiously optimistic when we signed him but his fitness/form early this season seemed a huge warning...he'd acknowledged the last chance he'd been given, spoke glowingly of Robinson/the club and still couldn't turn up ready to go? It suggested he was just one of the latest in line of Scottish players who had the talent without the commitment/attitude/work rate/discipline to make a go of it.

If we can keep him in the mood and if he produces the form of the last weeks there's no doubt it's an excellent move. But those are big ifs and ultimately there'll be a reason why he's nearly 27 and one else has managed it yet.

So not unhappy by any means but a huge amount of caution remains for me.

We'll see how it pans out - he can cause trouble for defences in ways which our other players don't. A nuisance with a fair bit of skill and enough aptitude for getting a goal or two; worth a go on balance.

I'm happy with this news, if he can find some long term consistency now. He has the talent, as he's demonstrated but now he has to turn it on week in week out.
