I don’t think VAR is the problem the big problem seems to be the way it’s interpreted over here to other European countries.

VAR is only supposed overrule if there has been a ‘Clear & Obvious’ error it does not mean get the slide rule out to prove a boot was offside.

Take McGinns goal on Sunday, I understand it took nearly 5 mins of VAR deliberation and the ref being told to use the monitor to eventually arrive at the decision Barclay was offside. That’s ludicrous the decision should take a minute at most.

Sorry not explaining it very well.

Have a read of this interesting article how we use it and how other countries use it there is a huge difference.

Wolves player goes to head the ball misses, and the ball hits his arm. VAR says no Pen.
Fulham player defending a free kick turns his back and get hit on the arm. VAR says Pen.

I'm confused, does anyone know the actual law?

Simple answer, NO. Too many rule changes, not enough clarity, stupid idea having the VAR assistant miles away they should be the ones looking at the monitor lineside (without slippers) no working from home. We were denied a clear pen, infact it was more of a pen than the one given!!!

Var is a complete joke, why do we have officials, it most cases, after each incident, players get on with the game only for some prat to overule with all the players wondering why. Clear and obvious it is Not..
