Unbelievable. They did their best to blow that but somehow Scotland got there in the end and that's great to see. It took tremendous character to get through that penalty shootout scoring all five kicks and after so many years of heartache and glorious failures, it's nice to see things finally going the way of Scotland. Hopefully the tournament does indeed get to go ahead next summer and at least some sort of crowds will be able to attend the matches.

Absolutely. Better Scotland sides than this haven't made it but this group have been given a remarkable chance - through the greed of UEFA, the pushback against the Champions League, the wine-riddled mind of Platini and the pandemic - and so far they have taken it. Fair play to all involved.

Credit to Clarke - we looked organised, and he clearly will pick players who will do what's required of them in his system, and who will play for him. Who could have foreseen two of our guys in the defence? A couple of Celtic fans are wondering why CalMac and Christie don't do as well in a hooped shirt! I wasn't sure about a couple of the manager's subs. Three of them scored penalties; I defer to his judgment.

Thought we had blown it when they got that totally undeserved equaliser. Fair play because the heads could really have dropped at that point.
The two Well boys, especially Gallagher, were solid.

I thought Declan Gallagher was superb last night. Absolutely solid and gave Mitrovic and co absolutely nothing. He's struggled for form for us this season but he's been excellent for Scotland whenever he's played. The down side for us is that it will be alot harder to hold on to him now given the exposure he's gained himself at a top level, but hopefully that'll also make us a more attractive proposition for potential signings in the future.

No doubt we'll be offering him a contract extension pdq.

If Celtic come for Gallagher we can at least quote that they value Duffy at £3 million then they can start their bidding in the region of £6 million plus, but no doubt they will get him on freedom of contract

Gallagher has settled for us this season after a poor start, I think...he's certainly been excellent for Scotland but I didn't expect to keep him beyond this season anyway.

O'Donnell is the more interesting one - does he risk moving to a new club now in January and maybe blowing his Euro chances? Could stick with us for the season now and look for something new in summer perhaps.
