Ridiculous chat. He's played 5 mins of football in 2 weeks and had a bit of a disturbed sleep pattern. What exactly are footballers made of these days?

Ridiculous if Shankland is being rested, The tims have just announced their team and Christie (who played in all 3 games) and McGregor are in their starting line up.

On the bench right enough. MENTAL just ****ing MENTAL. Best striker we have at the club, fully fit, and on the bench at home to the WORST team in the league. Can't stop shaking my head. Utter LUNACY.

I wouldn't be surprised if there had been a falling out over tactics - Shankland is barely getting a kick with the way we've been playing in recent weeks. Must be frustrating for a guy who knows he can score consistently given even half a chance. Against teams like St Johnstone and St Mirren recently, he should have been terrorising their defenders. Also frustrating now that he has an international tournament to play for and he has to justify his place in the Scotland squad.

Don't think there's anything in it other than the manager thinking he's tired and/or hasn't trained sufficiently enough to be considered for a start. He reckoned he came back tired from the last Scotland trip as well. The mind does boggle sometimes.
