    Was it Davids? Seem to remember him wearing goggles all the time towards the end of his career. Great player but would have fitted in at Derby in terms of size so I doubt he headed much anyway.

    Good call but not him, he wore those goggles in orange not for patriotic reasons but because orange protects against Glaucoma

    It could be Zinedine Zidane, he didnt head the ball much, but managed to head a player

    Oh no, he didnt win the world cup that year either, but he had been in a winning team before maybe

    could it perhaps be Gordon Banks - dont remember him winning many headers and definitely a dodgy eye

    Fair point...but apart from that...and the fact that he didn’t have to protect his eye.
