The shocker for me was Mather saying that the club wanted promotion, thats a big difference from saying the club were over performing a few weeks ago. Someone must have told him to say that as im sure he doesnt really know one way or another.

Then he said that who knows where we might go.

This is unbelievable.

Has the club found the energy, zeal and ambition of Leivers and the board 1970?

Are they reborn?

Any plans to form a new club to replace United might have to be suspended for a while. Such was the hopelessness of this club. As for Bonner, how do you leave school and join United as a coach? Maybe it shows how initiative and energy can get you everywhere.

Lets hope its a new era, and not dependant on one man, they should be lining up Bonners replacement, and then his replacement. Forward planning works wonders. Bonner wont be around long, or the better players. Success gets noticed.
