Honestly, man-will there be any comeback on whoever it is at the EPL who is leaking this stuff? Isn't in, in fact, a legal matter, certainly as far as the takeover goes given that it was all meant to be confidential?

I'm guessing not but I hope these bastards get what's coming to them.

another spadeful dug out of their own grave !

it must be about 50 foot deep by now

i quite liked the little not too subtle dig at how the epl and their lawyers are once again dragging their feet

    This could destroy the EPL....

Hopefully the out of court settlement will just be an agreement to allow the takeover to proceed...

If all parties successfully sue them for the collapse of a £350m deal...

    They will be ruined....

The Telegraph claim that if Ashley wins his case then the Saudies will carry on with the takeover.

Following on from the club statement that followed the lads from NCSL contacting the PL, here's a piece from the Shields Gazette who interviewed one of the supporters taking action.

I am more interested in all this than the football side of the club.

Coincidentally, just read that prior to coming on here - fascinating stuff.

If the Saudis still want this... why are they idle while everybody else is taking legal action against the PL?

I’m not sure they can - I read somewhere or was told by someone that as a member club, the current regime need to submit all the takeover details to the league. There’s maybe a legal case on confidentiality but not sure if they proved this it would automatically make the sale occur. I’d hope they are still in the background but still keeping in the loop.
