In a normal world Hancock would either resign or be sacked.

But they are all in it together.

Boris Johnson misled parliament over the publication of coronavirus contracts, a court order shows.

The prime minister had claimed that the contracts, which are subject to a legal challenge and cronyism allegations, were “there on the record for everybody to see”.

But a final order handed down by the High Court on Friday says the government had in fact only published “608 out of 708 relevant contracts”.

The revelation comes after a High Court judge found Matt Hancock had acted unlawfully by handing out contracts without publishing details in a timely way after a case was brought against the government by the Good Law Project.

It would appear that the £126,000 of taxpayers money that he bunged Arcuri wasn't quite enough to shut her up.

Maybe he should have asked Hancock to send her some of the PPE money as well. After all there was plenty of that sloshing around for friends and colleagues.

"Cameron may be hogging the limelight, but it’s current ministers that rolled out the red carpet for cronyism".

This is just normal Tory sleaze, a few million here and there to friends of Tory Cabinet Ministers.

Nobody is taking any notice. The getting out of the EU is a success as is the vaccination situation, which is making the unelected EU leadership look incredibly incompetent and utterly stupid. The EU is at war with the UK because the UK has to fail in order for the EU to survive. The already successful UK is well admired by the overwhelming majority of MEPs. The UK's success is being monitored throughout the EU, with fledgling Leave organisations steadily growing. The EU's attempts to spike the UK's steady progress have been utterly embarrassing. We are well out of an organisation of countries in which only one of them has a pot to urinate in. It is magical how the bankrupt Greece, Italy and Spain manage to limp on. Somewhere in the EU that is being paid for but at least the UK is well out of such obligations.

So the Tories making a few friends richer by sleaze is indeed a scandal and well worthy of jail sentences.
But hardly anybody gives a fuck. The population cares about vaccine and the laughable incompetence and
hostility of the EU. It is now all about the UK having free trade deals worldwide with all the countries that matter.
The UK can look forward to a very bright future of initiative and enterprise, free from the substantially inhibiting
factor of being an EU member.

Thus the Tories will romp home in the 2024 General Erection.

In order for the Labour Party to be credible it has to consign Jeremy Corbyn to the bin, not to have Labour MPs saying how much they admire him.
Momentum members have to be kicked out of the party.
The success of being out of the EU has to be acknowledged and enthused about.
Only when the above have all occurred will the Labour Party be a credible party to compete to be in government. I look forward to
the time when there are two competent political parties genuinely competing in a General Election.

All of a sudden it seems they are now taking notice.

The Tory Press and media have decided to turn on Johnson.

On the basis he has told lies all his life what has changed now?

    Who is pulling the strings?

Yes, put the Prime Minister and his cabinet in jail. Then those that can prove their innocence in court can be let out.

But this whole story will only be in the news for a limited time. There has been and will be no politics as long as coronavirus / vaccine / EU serious foul play / stupidity of the unelected EU leadership are the stories. Thus the Labour Party has no chance in the 2024 General Election. It is just bad luck for the Labour Party that nobody is listening to them because of folk immediately prioritising trying to stay alive.

One indicator that the above is a correct assessment is that the Conservatives will take Hartlepool from Labour on May 6th. The opinion polls have shown this consistently for at least a month and remain that way even after the current sleaze has for the moment been the headline story. The governing party hardly ever gains a seat from the opposition in a by-election but Hartlepool will be won by the Conservatives.
