A few Clarets have played for both teams.

Kevin Long, Chris Long, Dean Bowditch, Luke Chadwick and Lloyd Dyer are amongst them.

Someone has to let lower division teams win now and then, it's a sacrifice we make to keep the magic in the FA Cup and other competitions.

I can remember the Wimbledon game Chris..Our amateur league game was called off and we all caught the train down to the match from Nelson expecting a big home win,but after a great goalkeeping display from the Wombles goalie(think he was called Dickie Guy) We were all gutted.. Wimbledon deserved their victory though.

I was there too, I thought it was one way traffic til they scored then even more so afterward. It was Dickie Guy who saved them. We seem to inspire away goalkeepers in these matches.

I came off the Bee Hole End and could not possibly understand how we lost that game Alf. It was odd over the decades how they rose and we sank. Thankfully normal service is now restored.
