    Killing Swans

Any chance wednesday night or will they have us on the run? (if you walked the Trent near Draycott you'd know how evil they can be)
We've been on an unbeaten run where with a bit of luck we could have won all (and lost all!) and AT LAST looked like a) as individuals we weren't all out of our depth and b) we were at least briefed to play against a proper opposition rather than some training ground team.
    But Swansea are third.
Will we at last be found out as just clinging on by our fingertips, or will we demonstrate how 'close' and 'lacking in quality' the Championship is this season?
    Your thoughts would be welcomed

I'm going for a 2-0 victory, everything points to us getting a tonking (confidence low, Davies injured, Granny Smasher tactics), but sometimes the game throws in these odd little surprises.

The loss of Curtis really puts any on field leadership into chaos, with only CKR really pulling strings (from the front).

There are leaders out there, Adi. Marshall has captained, I think Clarke was captain at Portsmouth and Wisdom looks to always lead by example to me along with, as you say, CKR’s presence up front.

1-1 wouldn’t be a catastrophe and unfortunately that’s the best I can see. Hope you’re right.

P.S. Lyric quiz. ‘Swans. Effortlessly beautiful. Take care!’ Lovely song...you have been warned!

You think we will score? 0-0 for me and the can't win at home streak rolls on

I've gone for a 1-2. A decent perofrmance and a narrow defeat to the team in 3rd shouldn't lead to a bout of literal or figurative wrist slashing.

That would be a terrible result MA: we score so few goals, to waste 1 in a defeat would be criminal

Really? Never been known with music. There’ll be a lot of them about on Christmas Day...though God knows why...all prepared beforehand!

‘Swans and their partners they stay
Faithful for ever or die on the water’...hopefully it’ll be wet at PP tomorrow evening.

Aristotle wrote that swans, sing when they are approaching death, then fly out to sea. Complete nonsense (they don't sing at all for a start), but the origin of the phrase, "swan song".

Unfortunately we're home, so no swan song for Swansea likely!

Afraid the trivia got me though, something from Swan Lake, or maybe one of Shakespear's writings, Othello perhaps?
