Not very Old Colner does good

Not me wonder if he likes Burnley FC

Humble childhood of online shopping tycoon Matthew Moulding who lived in a Colne house near the bus station with an outside toilet and went on to land £830MILLION payout from his company The Hut Group.

The 48-year-old owns 20 per cent of the business which runs more than 100 websites including make-up brands such as eyeko, Illamasqua, retail website Look Fantastic, and a series of luxury hotels.

Now he donates his £750,000 salary to charity, has given £10m to support Covid relief efforts, and a further £2m of PPE to frontline workers.

Well done to him. He has probably worked hard, seized opportunities as they have arisen, had some luck on the way and has done well for himself and is now trying to help others. Yet, there will be lots of people around who will find all sorts of things to criticise him for just because he has been successful. It's a strange world!

No criticism from me. Could he be persuaded to take control of Burnley Football Club?

Hey Matthew. How would you like to spend £200 million of your own money on something that everyone in Blackburn will hate you for and half the people in Burnley will enjoy telling you that you don't know what you are doing, and the abuse on social media will be huge? Oh and you have to sit outside in the cold and rain for 2 hours every week
