    Is back from loan I hear, injured until after yhe recall date in January, so I guess the Wendies don't want to pay his wages any more

    Yeah saw this yesterday, like you said they've damaged him and now sent him back as faulty goods and left us to pay his wages

    I would think that they're still liable for his wages, but because he's our player, we will be taking care of any rehab.

    That's the usual way it is with loans. There is a January recall clause but, generally, all 3 parties (both clubs and the player) have to agree for it to happen. Whether that's the case here, I don't know but it would not be good business to wander from the standard "safety" clauses. I don't see Derby agreeing to a recall with an injured player.

    Given the clubs involved...just as we did with Sam Winnall who, btw, has just been diagnosed with Covid...albeit asymptotically.
