Complete and utter genius with some serious flaws. For me the best player there has been - he could take teams almost by himself and make them win - World Cup 1986 - Napoli - 1990 World Cup Runners up.

He played in an era when defenders could kick lumps out of players and still beat them.

Very flawed in many ways but his complexity and magic was one of the things in life worth smiling at for me.

The world is a sadder place for his passing.

    RIP

Don't forget that he was also a free kick specialist.
With the change in rules and the golf green playing surfaces now, Maradona isn't just the Best that's ever been, he's the Best that ever will be.
    Vaya Con Dios.

Great player with sublime control of the ball. Possibly even the best ever.

    Flawed? Certainly.

He was so high on drugs on and of the field. I remember watching him against Greece in the WC game and thought his eyes were going to pop out.
    Tragic story.

Last of the great strikers of different era of football. Open season on offensive players and still dominated.

Definitely flawed but when you can have anything you want and treated like a demi God in you country many of us would fail the morals test
