Agreed Sammy, trouble is SD does not trust him to give us 90 minutes.

    Thanks OC.

    Looking at potential first teamers,

I think Jimmy Dunne, Kevin Long, Eric Pieters and Matty Lowton will all re-sign.

Bardsley is getting on a bit, should we give him another year?

That leaves JBG, Brady, Taylor and Cork as potential problems.

I think JBG and Brady would accept another contract if offered, which leaves Cork and Taylor. If we can sort these two out then it looks OK.

But we would still need extra bodies in....if the takeover happens before January then hopefully decent funds will be available.

Out of the lot of them, I really feel we need to keep Taylor at whatever cost.

We really need full blown replacements for Brady, Lowton, Bardsley, JBG, but I suppose it will all boil down to which League we are playing in next season.

Hopefully we will keep Charlie Taylor and Jimmy Dunne as we look to the future.
Robbie Brady, I believe wanted to leave last summer but the club invoked an extension clause in his existing contract, which I think was a mistake. When a player wishes to leave the club then they should be let go, as we now have a player who spends more time on the treatment table than the training ground.
We certainly need to replace both Matt Lowton and Phil Bardsley. It is unfortunate that Phil Bardsley’s age is catching up with him.
Our midfield is in dire need of a massive overhaul needing some quality players, the like of Dale Stephens is not the answer.
Upfront I would like to see Matej Vydra being given the chance to play regularly, I think playing him with Jay Rodrigues may bring some extra quality to our striking force.
