The thread title should read...".Belief or Lack of QUALITY?" and im afraid its the latter, ive said it from day one in this Div you need quality players, we are a decent League 1 side, but only a Championship side on paper. UTM

Sheffield Wednesday are playing 1 up front a 4-5-1 and are winning 1-0,., just saying.

It depends on what someone's definition of quality is though.
Is it players on £20, 30,40 k a week at Derby Forest and Wednesday. As we are currently witnessing those budgets don't guarantee anything

Or is it players on £5k a week at Luton which doesn't necessarily lead to relegation

What you notice at those sized clubs is the temptation to go for a big name signing, perhaps due to pressures from a larger fan base. Teams like Luton obviously have a style they play to and then recruit for what they need. Not because of names etc but for what they need in that position. The qualities they need for what they expect from the player.

But it wasn’t 4-4-2 was it, even though the starting line up looked as though two strikers were playing.

Indeed and if they can do it then so can we.
It's no good us fans whinging we,ve got no money and can't compete. That isn't going to happen so we need to find another way of doing it which we haven't done yet
It's not easy But it can be done. Still time to put it right this season.
No surrender as early as November

In a lot of these "good 2nd halves", don't forget they were winning and protecting the lead, the same happens to us if/when were winning at half time, but we concede to the pressure as we always have a mistake in there waiting to happen. We don't take the mistake as we need several to take 1. PW has often said we'll get over run with only 4 in midfield( by playing 2 up top). So last night it was 4-4-1-1, with Vassel behind Smith, and infront of the 4. So we get over run, Smith plays quite well and Vassel is stuck in no mans land and totally in effective.
Either play him up front or not in the hole. Stick Miller, with his pace, with smith and see what happens. It cant get any worse ......
I fear the next 2 matches, lose the 1st and the pressure will be on then, Could be in the bottom 3 in a week. We'll see if they've got any fight in them then. Hope they prove me very wrong and get 4 pts.......UTM.
