Absolutely brilliant player. Not lucky enough to have seen him play, but fortunate to have seen his passion for football whilst he managed Argentina at Joburg's Soccer Stadium at 2010 WC.

Pulled himself and his family out of poverty with unbelievable skill.

He did cheat against us, and I remember that fateful day in 1986 as it was like yesterday, but that doesn't change the fact that only he could have scored the second goal in that match.

I would recommend that anyone who has not seen the documentary Maradona to watch it (on e4 for free for the next 30 days I think) as it is excellent and made buy the same guys who made senna.

    RIP Diego.

Ah yes, Senna, a certain Ayrton Senna, Formula 1 racing driver, another extremely good at his sport but also one not averse to a bit of cheating. It was the rise to prominence of drivers such as Senna and Schumacher that took the ‘Grands Prix’ out of Formula 1.

And then they take the knee. Shameless individuals who follow like sheep. Appalling conduct from so called professionals. Sick of it and it is a big turn off of the game.

Why don’t they do the knee and have a minutes silence for PC Harper who was dragged under the car and died an agonising death. Harper was a good guy doing his job and had a loving wife. Unlike Lloyd he was not a thug who pointed a gun at a pregnant woman’s stomach and unlike Maradona he was not a cheat or a druggie and had more money than sense!

    RIP PC Harper

Should have played in black armbands for Maurice.
