Totally agree. Cheated against England ,thrown out of u.s.a World Cup in 94 for drugs. You do wonder what he might have been as a player had it not been for the booze and coke he took for much of his career.
Whilst The Hand of God was blatant cheating, Shilton cocked up as he should have gone through the ball and Maradona and cleared it, especially a keeper of his experience and ability but he was a very poor second letting Maradona cheat. It should never have happened in the first place.

Gary Lineker, who was in the England side beaten by Maradona's Argentina in the 1986 World Cup quarter-final, led the tributes on Twitter, writing: "By some distance the best player of my generation and arguably the greatest of all time.
