Lancashire day to everybody.
Lancashire day to everybody.
A far better Northern flag for you Midlanders to enjoy.
Nice flag Chalky. The Romans recognised Northern culture and the civilised nature of us Cumbrians so built it up the road, keeping out the Scoth sheep-rustling haggis-botherers. We then tried to introduce our forward-thinking ways to out southern cousins, or Lancastrians and Yorkshiremen as they’re now known. Unfortunately they stuck to their heathen ways.
Whos flag is that then griff Carlisle or Cumbria?
Cumbria, Chalky. Stuff roses, it’s more about sea, grass and hills.
“ The design is a re-working of the banner of Arms of the former Cumberland County Council. Granted in 1950 the arms symbolise the coast line, mountains, fells and famous lakes with the blue and white wavy lines, whilst the green upper half with Grass-of-Parnassus flowers recalls the marshy up-lands and fertile plains of the county.”
Or summat.
