    Bobby Duncan

.... is he Kazim in disguise?

Much lauded when he arrived. Thus far just the one sub appearance for a whole FIVE minutes. He's had more minutes for England U20s than he has for us since his arrival.

Unused sub again last night for the 23s away at Arsenal.

23s lost 3-1 and McDonald was sent off for a 2nd yellow.....

Yes! I was thinking the same thing Derby County have a habit of puzzling decisions

Thought he would of being pushing for the first team by now

Well he had played for a "big" club before we signed him, perhaps thats the criteria for signing players?

What he needs is a fellow scouser as a manager: Duncan can then act as player-translator

Maybe we just have to accept that the previous management, including those that form the current - probably temporary - group haven't been able to get the best out of the new signings so far.
Joswiak has hardly set the place alight, there have been reservations about Byrne’s defensive contributions and, at the risk of lighting the blue touch paper, Ibe, Kazim Richards and Duncan have yet to be given any genuine opportunity.
None of us know what goes on at the training ground, but maybe it’s just a case of the current malaise and general uncertainty/lack of confidence around the club leading to previously good and experienced players now wondering what sort of ‘circus’ they’ve joined.

A win will go a long way to changing the mood...the completion of the takeover and an end to all the uncertainty will hopefully do even more good.

It's the derby way - find a silk purse in the transfer market and turn them into sows ears in a few weeks. Not just current management, there's been 20 years or more of it. When was the last established player we bought who improved with a spell at thr Rams?

Duncan was always a player for the future but isn't being picked for the U23's, must be a reason. Richards clearly isn't showing it in training otherwise he'd have been picked!

And yes Derby have a good track record of buying established players and hardly any perform as they had before. Maybe theres something in the water at moor farm?
