Hi , I thought the same, I'm one of the few who thinks he's good player.
Opinion on him, reminds me of Chris Brunt who I always rated, but some fans had a different view.
If Sawyers can see a pass he will find the man, if it isn't he will keep play if that's backward or sideways that's his job.
Done well last night, but watching on tele you miss a lot of off the ball.

Sorry, but I can't agree. Sawyers had an OK game but that's as far as it went. Come on, since the first lockdown he has been poor. For me he lacks energy and awareness. He plays the simple pass, that's it. When did you last see him play a defence splitting ball to create a chance for one of our front men? No, not for me.

Interesting how opinions are so different, yes Sawyers has been off the pace for awhile now (he is not the only one) but last night doesn’t deserve any criticism, thought he did a sound job kept the ball well overall and linked well with Pereira. Think the more worrying thing is the question have we been sold a ‘pup’ in Grant?

Hi, that's the beauty of football it divides opinion.
There was one move last when he found Pereira in the centre, who then fed Grant who made a great move but was unable to finish.
Subbing Pereira the other week and now giving him a free role, now he looks a top player.
Some players are taking time to adjust to the step up. Others have surprised me , Townsand and Johnstone for example.

Something that disappointed me was the way Sheff Utd dominated the 2nd half. My question is 'Is that because they made that happen or because Bilic instructed them to sit back?'

I think it was down to three key factors towards the end. Sheffield United are a better team than the table would suggest. Our squad isn't suited to defending a lead. The players had run themselves into the ground trying to make up for the deficiencies in our recruitment. No idea what they were playing at earlier in the game when we could have been three down in the first five minutes though.

I think we were told to 'sit back' and that is how we are going to play it in any match when we take the lead. You make the point we are not suited to defend a lead and I agree. For me just a little more adventure and Sheff Utd were so committed going forward we could have got the 2nd killer goal instead we too often lumped it to a lone striker and then it came straight back at us.

At the beginning of the season I said to my son 'with Bilic in charge at least we will give it a go unlike some of his negative thinking predecessors'

Sadly I now believe I got that wrong.

It’s a bit too soon to label Grant a failure, hopefully that win will give some confidence to the whole team and all will improve. I remember posting, though, before we bought Grant, that Armstrong from Blackburn was the strike to go for; he seems to score every match and yes, it’s the Championship, but his positioning and awareness seems to be very good.
