    Ashley offer to Green

The fat one has offered £50 million to Green to keep Arcadia afloat.

So he still has a spare few bob. I think it could be throwing good money after bad as they are in huge troubles over their back rents.

Aye, it's a strange one, his continuing obsession with the High Street when shopping habits are changing and with the effect the virus has had on retail-certainly in terms of 'actual' shops.

Then again, I know the sum total of bugger all about retil so maybe he knows what he's doing.

With any luck it'll all go tits up and he'll have to lower his asking price for us to free up his money.

You are spot on there Zip. The High Street is finished in the past way it was as we knew it. I can see when this is all over that most Highstreets will be transformed into pedestrian walkways full of small shops, pubs, and cafes just as happened early in Croydon.

The big department stores have had their day but it happens every 100 years or so that there is a revolution in shopping habits and folks, now are getting lazier day by day doing more shopping on the net.

Fatty would do better putting his money into some delivery project or similar.

IMO he will win in the long run if he can weather the storm and streamline - the debt will be wrote off with these business. He's buying brands and getting a load of prime buildings to boot.

Yes, peoples shopping habits are changing but humans being humans enjoy the tactile experience of going out to shop. I do. People are going back to vinyl and CDs now, Zoom parties don't beat pubs and I think this is something similar.

People will be back out at the shops once COVID goes so he could get the best of both worlds specially if he does deliveries too.

    Unfortunately.

He'll pick it up for a song. The Oxford St Debs is prime real estate.

It’s incredible that he thinks it worthwhile to invest in debenhams (when he’s already lost 150 million on it) but not in Nufc which has a massive potential to generate money.

All he knows is buy cheap and sell on.
