    Man City equal Notts Achievement

City became the first side since Notts County back in 1907 to record four successive home games by at least a five-goal margin against the same opponent.

A pretty extreme and obscure piece of stattoism

    26 Oct 1893 Notts County v Burslem Port Vale 6-1 (Div 2)
    26 Feb 1895 Notts County v Burslem Port Vale 10-0 (Div 2)
    07 Dec 1895 Notts County v Burslem Port Vale 7-2 (Div 2)
06 Feb 1907 Notts County v Burslem Port Vale 5-0 (FA Cup)

Burslem Port Vale arrived with three men short for the game on 26th February 1895 and played most of the game with only eight men. Notts were 6-0 up at half time and ran out 10-0 winners. Makes you wonder why they only scored 10.

Yes I remember that game well. We should have had 20. Ardley needs to buck his ideas up

Was nice to hear our name on that programme again. I had no idea we held this record until yesterday.

Perhaps Ardley's grandad was the manager.
