    Strikers

BBC Match Report. "Holmes' flicked, close-range finish to open the scoring in the 36th minute was Derby's first goal from open play for 17 and a half hours."

Is this team as, comparatively, as bad as the 2007-8 PL team who at least managed over half a goal a game

No. We have championship quality players this season. "That Season", we didn't have any Premier League quality players.

I'm almost finding this season amusing, our management, I include Mel, are a joke.

In terms of strikers, I don't understand why we don't play 2 up front, it's not like our midfield are going to score many.

I said it last week, we are way less than the sum of our parts, and thats a management/coaching issue not a player issue.

It was a strange decision to take Holmes and Richards off?

Richards was knackered and should, in hindsight, probably have been subbed earlier. Holmes (Lawro too) had his best game of the season IMO.

Fiar enoug if he wasn't fit, though surely by this stage of the season one would expect him to be. Taking both off seemed strange.

I would have taken anyone BUT those two off, accepting CKR was flagging. He popped a ******* for the cause yesterday and actually seems to have a skill we've been moaning about since Martin left, holding the ball and laying it off. Waghorn looked clueless by comparison

Remember the old adage of "strikers hunt in pairs". Maaybe we should try it?
