You have to say that our two big money signings are not cutting it yet. Still time of course but Diangana didn’t even make it onto the pitch last night. And Grant just doesn’t seem to contribute enough for me and has a poor first touch ....... Have to say the much maligned Burke seemed a sharper threat upfront for Sheff Utd last night ...... certainly when compared to Grant ......

Also feel we lack a midfield enforcer .... I liked Berge from Sheff Utd .... we don’t have a player like that ... maybe should be Livermore but on this season’s showing he seems to be into decline and a Sawyers is not the answer although he did ok last night ..... And their right wing back Baldock was much busier and more of threat than either of our two wing backs ..... still we won .... nice to wake up on Sunday with that warm feeling a win brings ....

Would any of our young players be any worse than Kanu who loses the ball frequently and out of his depth?

Krov is a good player and adds creativity and far far better than Sawyers! Grant is worrying me although too early to judge - to be fair I blame that w anker Dowling for p issing around signing him much earlier as clearly he looks unfit and not sharp enough yet for match play!
And there you have answered your own question why Sawyers was picked ahead of Krovinovic, the job wasn’t to be creative, was to cover and keep things ticking over which he did, give the bloke a break
