'Early doors' literally annoys me. I literally don't know why.
It refers to the first, early showing of a Saturday matinee at the cinema as opposed to the second later in the day.
What does "my bad" actually mean to me it just sounds stupid and out of place putting the word of instead of have winds me up and starting an answer with the word "so".
Guess it's just because i'm old and out of touch can't stand face book either or apps but i do have a mobile phone
Correct Laddo
It does not matter, we are not teachers or at university
Usually attacking spelling, when the meaning is completely understood, is to first of all trying to score a cheap point, and most importantly to deflect attention away from their post, especially if it is the counter view post
Either way very childish, but hey if that gives them pleasure haha
It is a very interesting point and discussion.
If people start to spell things incorrectly, and it's left as 'we know what you mean', does it really matter, or is it an eroding of standards? I am thinking of life in general - certainly not meaning that people should be corrected on here. That does raise another point though - if incorrect spelling in some places is accepted, but then to write a CV or interview letter needs correct grammar and spelling, won't the edges be blurred?
Should children have to spell correctly (will always remember the Monday spelling test!), or does it really matter?
