There was furore in 1967 when QPR tried to buy Brentford out and move into Griffin Park and there wasn’t much opposition to the deal at first.
Jack Dunnett was the chairman of Brentford at the time and agreed to the sale but 38 days of demonstrations and protests which attracted national press led to the sale collapsing and Dunnett selling his shares in the club.
