What I don't understand is why players need to self isolate for 14 days if they are being tested twice a week?

It must be something to do with incubation period i think.This is obviously forced on them by the health board officials involved.Mind Ryan Christiie had to do the same in Scotland but Tierney was able to play in England.

Yeah, in England they are about to start the system for international travellers whereby they can isolate for less time if they pay for a test after 5 days. Seems odd Scotland aren't implementing this, presumably there is some sort of scientific evidence to back it up. Mind you it's Boris so maybe not...
