The best team won at the end of the day. The better players shone through. We did our best to contain and frustrate which we did for large periods. We had half moments where things didnt fall for us. They were resolute and you can see why they haven't conceded for 4 games in a row away. They have spent £5 mil on a striker, we did our best to handle him. We weren't dirty, just used every tool we could. To say we arent good enough for the champ because we lose to a top top team in this league is daft. Mattock clearly tired and the clearance showed that, we ended up being punished. The game changed on that and the second was kind of as a result of the first in that we had to push on more. Soft pen but always going to go against us. Onwards to Coventry game, a game where we can be judged properly given league positions. Proud of the efforts

    They were quality we weren’t.
We gave away far too many fouls.
4th from bottom is the target.

Mattock missed the ball over the top then didn’t put the second ball out. Bad day at the office.

And according to the Sky on screen stats:-

The highest number of pre match line up changes
The lowest number of chances created

Not an entirely unexpected result but the manner of the defeat was disappointing

I’m half expecting a change in shirt sponsor to Massey Ferguson, we were very agricultural

Never ceases to amaze me how fickle some football fans are.
To say we can't compete, haven't got the players, div one etc is so negative particularly after the Bmouth performance.

They were just better than us over the 95 minutes and it's no surprise considering their budget. Their recent record against all the other cship sides is very good and they are on a roll.
But credit must be given to Brentford because they,ve made their own money.

    It's 46 games and it's only December.
We,ve injuries with two of our best players out for months
