Ez the Own Goal "Rule" changed ?

Does the "Dubious Goals Committee" still exist ? It used to decide on who should be credited with the goal if there was an element of doubt.
The general rule used to be that if an attacker's effort was clearly going wide or over the goal frame and the ball's trajectory was changed by a defender deflecting the ball into the goal it was declared an "own goal". I have seen a number of examples recently when the ball's direction has been changed in such a manner but the attacker has been credited with the goal.

I hope it's not Woodrow's effort on "Let's Laugh at Diving" on Soccer AM this Setdi. Thuz mooar and mooar diving wiart contact and sticking their leg into the defender mid dive as they go darn. The term,"He's won a penalty" is used now fo cheeartin.
