    What happens if a Championship club borrows £8.3M and gets relegated? How can a club pay that amout back before June 2024 from Div revenues???

    The PL are only covering the interest. Not sure if they are being guaranteed. Loans are probably sourced from banks.

    True, the Premiership aren’t contributing much compared to how cash rich they are:-

    “The Premier League will pay up to £15m to help the EFL secure a £200m loan which it will then lend to Championship clubs interest free”

    UP TO £15 million, peanuts in the scheme of things, and money they will want back

    The £15m is interest payment. They will only pay the proportion of that which is borrowed.

    There seems to be conditions on what you can borrow the money for. I bet not much is taken up.

    Yep, that’s probably right. Too much in the small print to make it useful.
