Pandemic shambles and pending Brexit chaos.

Our Trump lite Prime Minister and the inadequate nodding donkeys who make up the Cabinet have not covered themselves with glory in dealing with Covid. Their predecessors got things off to a bad start by applying their austerity dogma to cutting back on medical resources. In their wisdom they decided to ignore the advice given in 2017 that the PPE we had was only suitable for flu. When Covid arrived care staff and hospital staff paid with their lives through inadequate or non existent PPE.
This was followed by many serious mistakes.
1.Delaying the first lockdown by 5 weeks which according to the epediolomogists cost 25000 lives.
2.Dumping infected patients into the care system to free up hospital beds.
3 In March our blustering Prime Minister announced " the lockdown would turn the tide in 12 weeks."
    4. He announced "a world beating " test and trace system to be run by Serco the private enterprise company at a cost of £14bn headed by Baroness Dido Harding whose only claim to fame is nearly wrecking Talk Talk as a company. Her husband is a Tory MP and she is a friend of the Prime Minister. Test and Trace is still not working and local authority experts are pulling their hair out.
    5. The government closed the lockdown too early and too widely before announcing things would be normal by Christmas. Oh dear!
    6. The mistakes with the first lockdown was repeated with the second lockdown and all the experts agree that the five days respite at Christmas will kill a significant number of people.
    7. During the pandemic Johnson has failed to deal with members of his government who have ignored the rules and accepted his advisor Cummings drove to Barnard Castle for an eye test. This hardly sets a good example to we peasants.
    8. On a more positive note we have achieved the highest death rate in Europe from Coved to prove we are exceptional at some things like the right wing Tories believe.

We can now look forward to these arrogant inadequates to deal with Brexit. Inevitably Johnson started with a straghtforward lie. "the Brexit deal is oven ready." It wasn't and it isn't. We are in for either a no deal or a very thin deal. Whichever it is the economic future looks grim.
