Neither Leeds or Chelsea are who or what they were, in just about any aspect you care to name (ownership, team, record since those days, following (honestly spoken), path into the future).

Not suggesting we forgive what was done, by those who did it, but most are in aforementioned boxes, and memories of the times at Old Trafford, Stamford, the wrecking of Bournemouth and all the rest need to be laid to rest, for the sake of those who come after us, and who dont need more pain and heartache from football, layered on top of the pain and heartache that life in general throws at them.

Win or lose tomorrow, I'll be celebrating that we're back where we belong and (so far&#128521, we have made every f00ker wake up and take notice (without fisticuffs of any sort, so far!)

Good post mate. Times have moved on.....like my years! I was around them years and scars to prove it, missing teeth!

Not and never will be a fan of that media darling club. Right up there alongside the schitt from the wrong side of the Pennines! Bunch of mouthy cnuts who think they are from the centre of the universe, when we all know if the world has piles that is where they would be.

Just need to let them know they are in a game tomorrow. Come on LEEDS.

I was a very young person back then and felt we were robbed in a most cynical manner. Of course we were robbed in Paris 5 years later but this was the first time for me and the scars have remained for half a century. So yes, they are a different club now, but there has never been a catharsis even after winning the cup 2 years later or the league 4 years later. I think it is because of how young I was.

I refer you to post #5 and #8.

Is all over and done, I suspect not, but those of us who have some "vintage" and who realise that constant harping back on what was is unlikely to make the future any better would counsel acceptance of what is, and optimism for the future, not re-visiting what killed (literally) some of us in days gone by.

The game tomorrow will be fractious, contested, argumentative, competitive, and so should every game we play, but no more and no less, simply because its Chelsea, or City, or Scum (yeah, can't get away from that one!) or any other PL team.

Soon as he gets rid of the dead wood his net spend will come right down
The keeper alone will fetch in 50 million
    2 years as a manager
First job got Derby to a play off final
First big job gets Chelsea in to top 4 when fans of the club would be happy with 10th
    Fa cup final
Not bad for a young manager
Gerrard lampard parker have a enough money to sit on the sofa
But they have had a go and are doing well
Would rather them 3 then the same old pardew pulls monk merry go round
I was on the kop when Dennis wise stuck 2 fingers up to us after chelsea beat us 3 2
Years later he returns as a manager and gets a standing ovation
    Only a view Mrs O

We were all young at some point, and we all suffered (ex-miner, rendered redundant by Thatcher, but moved on as family required it, not the last time either). Football is NOT a matter of life or death and Shankly was 100% wrong to suggest it mattered more, it's a game, always was and nowadays played by a bunch of highly paid professionals with whom we have very little in common (even more so when as with the likes of Chelsea, Spurs, City etc.).

Happy to count myself a Leeds supporter, wear the shirt, have my car number player adorned with the shield, have my scarf and that of my beloved departed wife, but would I fight another clubs supporters (of any hue or colour), just because they support their club as fervently as I support mine? No, not in a million years.

Each to their own opinion but I wish Chelsea and Lumplard the very worst possible.

Never said I wish them (or any other club than Leeds) well, just no longer willing to shed blood to justify being a Leeds supporter

No reason why anyone should shed blood but sometimes sh1t happens when you support Leeds United.
