George Russell misses pole by 0.026 second

Lewis and Valteri need to watch out.
Lewis suffering from COVID so George age 22 steps up and must be sick to miss out on pole. That’s
despite a car into which he does not fit well at all. At 6ft 1in, Russell is five inches taller than Hamilton. He is wearing boots a size too small to allow his size 11 feet to operate the pedals. There was no time to mould him a new seat, so he is using one from a year ago.

    Depends on your speed alf.

    At 180mph you cover 264 ft /sec
    At 120 it’s 176 ft/sec.
    At 60 it’s 88 ft /Sec

Divide by 40 approx gives 66 ft or 44 ft or 22 ft in 0.025 sec

66 ft is the length of a cricket pitch

Was it the North or the South Pole? He must be blind if he missed either of those because he could chose the real one or the magnetic one. How do they let someone like this loose in a car if he can't see properly?

Robert Falcon Scott missed out on pole by 33days so to get this down to 0.026 seconds was no mean feat. Or perhaps feet considering his shoe size.

So,you are saying he was quite a distance behind then.

A short head would have been closer.
