Your anti-Cryne agenda over the years is well known Animal.

    As is mine against Conway,

I see Norwich have regained full strength against Boro compared to the FA Cup game.

It's not an anti-Cryne agenda SB but simply the facts as I see them .

Ernest Dennis dragged this club off the floor when he ambitiously appointed Allan Clarke in 1978 and his son John built the modern day Barnsley football club .

And Cryne gets a flag .

You couldn't make it up .

Almost every time we caught a fair wind at this level Cryne found a way to feck it up .

Even Ernest and John Dennis had more ambition for the club .

The man wasn't a bad bloke but his tenure here isn't deserving of the accolades placed on him in my opinion .
Got to agree with most of that.
The Cryne years were the doldrum years for the club - there was no progress made whatsoever - both on the field or to the ground.

He had the club for a couple of years when he said at a supporters meeting that he was looking to sell the club.
Ten + years later and he was still the owner.
Basically he had relatively no money to take the club forward - and he held onto the club for far too long.
Consequently many fans have drifted away from the club during that period - and it’s going to take an enormous effort to get them back.

On the plus side - Patrick was a Barnsley fan who stepped in to save the club in one of the clubs darkest hours.
Barnsley supporters will be forever grateful to him for doing that.
