Conor Hourihane signed a 2 year / £3,120,000 contract with the Aston Villa F.C., including an annual average salary of £1,560,000. In 2020, Hourihane will earn a base salary of £1,560,000, while carrying a cap hit of £1,560,000.
A max £780k would get him for the rest of this season. Is it a good investment ? I’m not sure.
Well if we are prepared to let Mowett for around that price then that would be self finance the deal, can’t help but feel that money would probably be better invested in a permanent signing.
Keep Mowett he leaves for nothing would need a lot of thought this one.
