Great game tonight, saving 6 on target, he’s the second highest English keeper after joint leader McCarthy on 5 with Darlow and Pickford on 2. Not bad given our string of losses.

For the life in me I don't know why Billy Mercer does not help Nick sort his kicking out.
I've see every Burnley goalkeeper in action since Colin McDonald, but I have yet to see a better gatherer of crosses than Nick Pope.
Shot stopper supreme, but his kicking really is bloody awful.
I'd agree with that, Tom Heaton is one of the best keepers I've ever seen, but he rarely came for crosses, he stayed on his line and left them to the CBs, it worked, they knew Tom wouldn't be coming for them and they dealt with them themselves. Pope comes for them and gets them, it must take an awful lot of pressure off the CBs knowing they have a keeper who will do that. It makes their job almost a doddle.

He doesn’t seem to kick through the ball, so it sometimes slices or hooks off his foot. Like you BT it seems an easy fix given his England target he must be motivated to improve his ground play and distribution..
Now 5 clean sheets and a winner
Nick Pope is the winner of Lancs Live's inaugural Burnley Fans' Footballer of the Year award!
Pope secured over 62% of the vote in a landslide victory after we asked you, the fans, to tell us who your player of 2020 was for the Clarets.
The Burnley keeper fought off competition from Ben Mee, who finished in second place with 20% of the vote while Dwight McNeil and James Tarkowski (8.8% and 8.4% respectively) rounded off the list of contenders.
Another clean sheet tonight please Nick
You had to put the pox on him didnt you Colner
