We played so well and there were some outstanding performances. We should look back and see how delighted the Blackburn players were to have robbed three points. We had more chances than them and for 70 minutes we were comfortable. They made a stack of changes and we followed by doing the same. However it seemed to disrupt us when Smith went off and Wiles who was excellent.Having said that we were still as likely to get the winner late on as they were .We did not deserve that kick in the teeth.Well done lads for the performance but we've got to start converting these chance starting with the game on Saturday against Derby.

You want to take any opportunity to find fault. If Warne made a mistake I'm sure he would be he first to admit it.
There is no point trying to talk tactics if you dont know any.

“We were still as likely to get the winner late on as they were”

Yes, and by thinking the same the team gave away a goal that lost us a point. The ‘ringcraft’ to preserve the point we had just wasn’t there.

That is always the point tho Grist. For 80 mins we restricted them to very little attacking options and then what do we do? Warny decides to take a striker off and put a defender on and we lose everything we had done well for 80 mins and invite them on to us! Why the **** have we not learned the lesson that we cannot defend when we have no out ball other than to boot it? Just what is the point of it? it's Pointless and thats what we ended up with.......Pointless

Just watched Quest, we had Hirst marking Ayala in our box, ayala pokes it across and they score. When Smith went off, we lost all chance of holding it up in their half.
We played well, but still so frustrating when we keep giving it away so easily. Bring on Rooney and his gang, undefeated in 6 now. Just don't lose this 1, think we'll be ok 2-0.

Probably nitpicking but if that wasn't a foul on Hirst by their No5 just before the winner then I don't know what is? Guess it saved the ref having to add on even more minutes for them to get the winner.

In recent weeks we've been complaining about being too negative and getting beat, but yesterday we set up to have a go and still got beat, however, that performance has to be the benchmark.
At 1-0 up we had 2 great opportunities to increase the lead, one when Vassell could, and should, have played in either Lindsay or Smith for a one on one, but instead chose a wayward shot from 20 yards. 2nd up was the Crooks chance, which he made all by himself by hunting the ball down and going through on goal, but then not even forcing a save.
For me, the Smith substitution was the one that cost us, as he would not only have held it up more when we were under the cosh, but would have been ***** at the free kicks the ref couldn't wait to give them late on, and even now I have no idea what that last free kick he gave them that they scored from, was for UTM

where did 8 mins come from? ur fake injuries and ridiculous time wasting. yes we didnt desrve to win, maybe didnt deserve even a point, but tactics like that can always bite you on the ass. thats what happened here.

Maybe a valid point SaxoMan but if you were in our situation I'm pretty sure you'd do the same. All teams do these days
