    Swans v Barnsley

The Derby defeat was inevitable. Mark us high up the pitch, stop our wing backs from going forward and our threat is nullified. It took until half time to revert to a back four and by then we were 2-0 down, could have been four. With the five subs allowed we should have changed formation as soon as we saw our system fail.
Second half we were a little better but still no penetration, zero shots on target throughout is shocking. Back to the drawing board Mr Cooper, it’s not working. So, we gifted the points for Derby’s first home win since last June, not good enough by far.
What does the head coach do now, stick with the weak, lethargic team that started at Derby or give the fringe players a chance. He said we’ve got a strong squad but we’ve yet to see it.
Barnsley, with three straight wins under their belt, will be no pushover.
They will see from the Derby game how to stop us playing, and we’ve yet to come up with a plan to counteract the high press.

Well Iolo was a very happy bunny after that result yesterday, and we stay third in the table for a week at least as there are no matches until Boxing Day.
Three banana skins in a week and we won two out of three, failing at the easiest one on paper.
All three teams were on good runs, Barnsley having won their previous three matches.
They were no pushover and had the better of possession and pass accuracy but few chances on goal.
Pitch was in terrible condition but is no more as they pulled up the turf straight after the game and are laying new turf in time for the next home game.
