Willoughby didn't go through the recommended Dettol footbath, arriving straight from Stink Central.

One of his erstwhile teammates told me that Willoughby was old-school Ibrox, which was puzzling to those not familiar with Glasgow's curiously-divided ways. My interviewee said that at half-time in those days, a usual refreshment option was the wee bottles of Hays' fizzy drinks (which seem to have become 'juice' at the same time as a hurl in the car became a 'road trip', and songs became 'sounds' or 'tuuuuuunes'), commonly 'splits', and if the only one left in the crate was limeade, ie green, he'd go thirsty rather than sully his tastebuds with it. How bizarre.

A good midfielder and right back for us, though.

Read all about it (and make a donation to the Trust's funds if you can afford it, ta).

    Point of order.

Hays limeade looked ( and tasted) like you’d pished in the bottle.

Hays lime crush was the greenest thing on the planet.

That’s what’s wrong with kids nowadays, not enough artificial colours.

If you were pishing bright lime green, then I’d suggest a visit to the doctor.

BBC linking us with Declan Gallagher:

Dundee United are willing to make Scotland centre-half Declan Gallagher one of their highest-paid players, but they face competition from Aberdeen, Cardiff City and Queens Park Rangers for the 29-year-old who has also been linked with Celtic and is a handful of appearances away from triggering an automatic contract extension with Motherwell. (The Herald)
