To be honest, I was expecting a response last night but the players looked like they couldn't give a shit.

The only caveat I would add seeing as how Bruce has been given a hammering (and rightly, imo) is that he's been deprived of his two first choice CBs recently and if he doesn't get them back soon then these teams are just the ones to make things get ugly pretty quickly.

And yet he let a decent defender go on loan without a replacement. Only the spineless type of manager that Ashley typically appoints - Bruce, Pardew, Carver etc. would allow something that ridiculous to happen.

I'd say we will score 2 goals in total. Arsenal our best chance of a point. Dont think we do especially well over Christmas in the best of years.

What I would say, points-wise is that, much as these teams are all capable of putting several goals each past us-Arsenal included-this is the strangest of all seasons so, with Bruce's luck, I wouldn't rule out a point or maybe 2?

That's not to say I expect us to get anything other than hammered in every game and whatever the outcome, I agree-it will be the grimmest 'football' immaginable from us.
